Kids for Jesus!
Let the children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 19v13)
Our Children's Church is run during our Sunday morning service for children from the ages of 3 years - 13 years old.
Classes
Pre-schoolers * Grades 1-2 * Grades 3-4 * Grades 5-7
Programme
9:30 Creative Praise & Worship
10:00 Outdoor activities (juice and biscuits are served)
10:15 Main lesson (Toddlers and
Pre-schoolers move to their classrooms for their own separate lesson at
this time)
10:45 Grades 1- 7 move to Small Group for practical application of the lesson
11:30 Closing
Curriculum
Term 1 - What We Believe
Every child should be given the opportunity to accept
Christ at an early age, and those who do so need a proper foundation on
which to build their faith as they grow in the Lord. This term we will
provide solid biblical teaching on each of the issues foundational to
the Pentecostal faith.
Term 2 - Missions
The child who develops a heart for missions will become
an adult who actively participates in missions. Because missions are
at the very heart of God, children need to develop a heart for missions
too. This teaching will help children become active participants in
the world of missions.
Term 3 - Spiritual Warfare
This unit makes clear the reality of the spiritual
struggle of which all Christians are a part. It also makes clear that
any Christian can overcome Satan and all his wicked schemes by putting
on the full armour of God. The lessons give a practical, everyday use
for each piece of armour.
Term 4 - Practise for Play
The 4th term will be dedicated to practising for our end of year play.
Special dates
The end of year Anniversary/Christmas play will be presented to the church on
Sun, 12 Dec 2011. A fun activity will be held for the children after
the service to celebrate the closing of children's church for the year.
